Dayron Robles

Clearing the Air. That’s the main headline in the sports section of the Business Mirror (Aug 1-2, 2008, section D1). And the image is that of DAYRON ROBLES.  Dayron Robles is a 21-year old Cuban hurdler who holds the current world record in the 110 metre hurdles of 12.87 seconds, which he set on June 12, 2008 at the Golden Spike meet in Czech Republic.

His name sparked my curiosity (for obvious reasons) which led me search youtube. Here’s a clip of the winning moment when he snatched the world record from Liu Xiang of China.
