I was literally jobless for almost 3 weeks and all I did was to stay at home and play with my kids. Not that it was bad, but it could have been a great time for me to go back to running. Oh, I missed a lot of things I should have done. But no regrets. Time spent with kids were very precious and I know that my relationship with them has improved an inch higher (is this a correct term?). Of course, there were attempts but the “bed” weather became my constant excuse.
Hey, I got a book. Fiction. I haven’t read a fiction in almost 3 years and I thought it was a great moment to indulge myself into reading without pressure, again.
Yeah, I did a lot of updating on my social networking accounts. It’s a shame but people do tell me I do spend so much time broadcasting to the whole world what I have been doing. On the contrary, technology made it very possible to cross-post from one network to another. All I do is post on my “Tweetdeck” . Tweetdeck is an application installed on my mobile phone which I access whenever there’s a wifi connection. So with round the clock wifi accessibility at home, “Twitting” is just a thumb-click away. Once my Twitter is updated, my Facebook status shows a new status. Isn’t it fun?
Well yeah, three weeks of “me-time” also allowed me to run errands and finish all the needed paperworks. But come to think of it, I still have to complete all the requirements.
Aside from time spent with my family, I also had the chance to reconnect with my friends.
Overall I am happy and contented with three weeks of hibernation. And this weekend, being the final weekend before I take on that new challenge, all I could think is, *sigh*, I wish I could have gone running again…
